Scholars Inspiring Younger Hungry Minds Kids!

Hungry Minds scholars, Dianne and Michaela, share their stories to encourage and to inspire younger Hungry Minds students to never give up and reach for their dreams!

Michaela (left photo) is a 10th grader in Philippine Science High School – CALABARZON. After her father got sick, Michaela started selling turon (bananas with sugar wrapped in lumpia wrapper) to her teachers and classmates to help her mother earn money. She is the first Hungry Minds scholar to qualify in Philippine Science for CALABARZON campus.

Dianne (right photo), who used to study using a gas lamp, is an 1st Year Medical student in Emilio Aguinaldo College- School of Medicine. She shared how she struggled to overcome challenges and difficulties as she continues to pursue her dream of becoming a doctor.
