Resilience

After Cherry Ann’s parents lost their jobs during the pandemic, she wanted to help her family who relied on the assistance by the local government and on the food packs provided by Hungry Minds.

Because school year had ended, Cherry Ann decided to apply for a part-time job. She got accepted as an account specialist in a BPO company where she worked on-site for the first 3 months. Currently, she continues to work from home and focus on her education :

“Being resilient is one of the values that Hungry Minds instilled in me when I was in elementary. It is a relief that I am able to help my family. I work at nightshift and attend school at daytime. It is really stressful and challenging. There are times that I thought of giving up, but HM community was there to listen and to support. Hungry Minds is the definition of hope for me. Indeed, my family and I are really blessed to be a part of this community.”
