The Malolos City Government through Mayor Christian Natividad provided school space for HM Bulacan! After moving to the new site, Hungry Minds parents came together and painted the classrooms! This is the spirit of bayanihan* in action!
*bayanihan (Filipino word meaning shared community effort)
- act as a community to accomplish hard tasks
- see own efforts as part of a larger community effort
- partner to accomplish more
- clearly identify common goal
- tend relationships
- contribute fair share
Thank you to all those who support Hungry Minds.
You can still join in the bayanihan through the Tools for School campaign! A gift of PhP250 (US$5) will provide a child a set of uniforms, school supplies, a pair of shoes or a bag.
