“I wanted the quality education because, before I went to Hungry Minds, some days I’d be able to go to school, other days I couldn’t. I would go to school without eating breakfast. I didn’t have money for my recess and lunch. When I saw Hungry Minds, I told myself that this was my opportunity. This was my chance to have the quality education that I needed.”

Shara is one of the Grade 4 students who joined Hungry Minds Malolos in 2007. She is currently a Hungry Minds College scholar and is an incoming 3rd year Psychology student in Bulacan State University (BSU).

In spite of all the difficulties and challenges she faced, Shara remains optimistic and looks forward to a better future: “I think now, I can say that I can reach my dreams.”
