Hungry Minds gets 5 year accreditation from PCNC!

We are thrilled to announce that the Philippine Council for NGO Certification (PCNC) approved the accreditation of Food for Hungry Minds School, Inc. as a Donee Institution for another 5 years! PCNC Accreditation ensures the professionalism, accountability and transparency of a non-profit organization in the Philippines. This means a "seal of good housekeeping" that helps and ensures partners and donors identify and support NGOs with "good standing." Hungry Minds previously received 5-year accreditation from PCNC. Lemongrass Volunteers tutor Grade 4 learners

Our Big Brother (Kuya) and Big Sister (Ate) Tutorial Program is back! Kudos to our Malolos High School scholars for helping restart the program for the elementary scholars of Hungry Minds Malolos! Learning with Visa volunteers!

It was an exciting Wednesday for Hungry Minds as it welcomed its first group of volunteers to its Pasay school this year! Visa volunteers prepared a story-telling session to teach financial education to Hungry Minds Grade 5 students. Fun games and prizes made the kids very happy and excited to participate in the activity. Meet Nanay Gina.

A mother of 4 kids. A housewife. A sari-sari store owner. A full-time student. Her son, Glen, is one of the Hungry Minds Malolos High School scholars. Amidst the pandemic and challenges in online learning, Nanay (mother) decided to go back to school to pursue her dream of graduating in College. Glen and his siblings help their mother in her online class. Tatay (father) manages their sari-sari store so Nanay can attend her classes. PCNC Evaluation

Food for Hungry Minds goes through an intensive evaluation by the representatives of the Philippine Council for NGO Certification (PCNC).  Educators, selected partners and beneficiaries worked together to secure again the Seal of Good Housekeeping from PCNC.  We thank everyone in the Hungry Minds community for all their help and support. Giving hope

Many Hungry Minds scholars and their families struggled in dealing with the challenges of the pandemic and online learning. Traxex and Stefani faced these difficulties which initially affected their performance in class. With Hungry Minds continuing to support their education and helping address their needs, they persevered and kept their hopes up. Today, both scholars are thriving and excelling in school!
