Last March 12, 2026, Hungry Minds joined the 1st Quarter Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED) along with schools, offices and communities in the country. This nationwide initiative led by the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) helps strengthen disaster preparedness in communities throughout the Philippines.
Hungry Minds learners, educators, and parent aides practiced the “drop, cover, and hold” technique and safe evacuation—learning what to do and how to stay calm during an earthquake.
More than just a drill, it’s a meaningful way for our students and the entire Hungry Minds community to build confidence and be ready in case of emergencies. It also reminds us that safety is part of every learning experience—helping our children take care of themselves and one another.
Join us in nurturing Hungry Minds learners to grow strong, confident, and empowered. Together, let us transform lives!
