Gilbert is a 7th grader in Roxas High School in Paco, Manila and belongs to one of the three special Science (top) sections in the school. This year, Gilbert ranked 2nd in his whole class and represented Roxas HS in various inter-school competitions. Asked why he thought he was doing well, he said, "Because I came from Hungry Minds!" With the school year almost ending, this was a boost to the whole Hungry Minds team! Thank you and congratulations, Gilbert! Keep up the good work!  

Tiny Elmark is one of the new Hungry Minds students in Malolos, Bulacan. His father harvests kangkong (water spinach) for a living. Every day, Elmark and Nanay (mother) walk nearly a mile to catch the HM school bus. Elmark and his family are working hard for a better future. Support Hungry Minds - and you make this future possible!

It was another good morning at Hungry Minds as Hungry Minds kids enjoy delicious spaghetti for breakfast. A favorite meal for most of the kids! Thank you to SUS for giving Hungry Minds a yummy breakfast!

Hungry Minds is honored to be part of this year's Synchony Financial Volunteers Recognition and Partner Appreciation Picnic last February 12, 2016 at Acacia Hotel in Alabang. This event also gave recognition to Synchrony Financial Volunteers' partners such as Food for Hungry Minds for the strong partnership and commitment to making a difference in the community. For several Hungry Minds students, it is their time to practice and hone their skills in chess!

Last February 5, 2016, Achieve Without Borders (AWB) employees visited Hungry Minds Pasay to distribute tikoy to the HM kids, teachers and staff in celebration of Chinese New Year! Among the AWB employees who joined the activity was a Hungry Minds Alumnus, Jonas, from Batch 1 of HM Manila. Current HM College scholars, Darlene and Alyssa, who are AWB interns also came to help and visit the kids. Thank you, AWB for visiting our school and for the delicious tikoy!

Hungry Minds Founder, Margie, together with Hungry Minds team visited Malolos City Mayor Atty. Christian Natividad in his office last January 28, 2016 to give thanks for his utmost support to Hungry Minds and its scholars. Mayor Natividad expressed his gratitude to Hungry Minds for "breaking the stereotypes" of poor communities such as Bangkal and inspiring underprivileged children to achieve their dreams.

Hungry Minds Bulacan Grade 4 kids visited Cargill Pulilan Office last Thursday, January 28, 2016 to show their gratitude and love for Sir Charlie who has been a great supporter of Hungry Minds through the years! Thank you, Sir Charlie! We wish you a happy retirement!
