A narrow, winding passage led to her home. The pathway was damp from people washing their laundry in the dark. There was no sunlight, no fresh air.

At the end of what seemed like a long maze, Trisha welcomed us into their home. She said the highlight of her year was winning 3rd place in the Hungry Minds School Literary Contest. Her piece was “A Dream within a Dream” by Edgar Allan Poe.

Who would have thought that such HOPE could be felt at the end of this tunnel?
